Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information Strowa LLC ("Strowa", "we", "us") collects when you use strowa.com or buy from us, how we use it, and the choices you have.

The short version: we collect what we need to process and deliver your order, answer your emails and run our advertising. We do not sell your personal information for money. We do use advertising tools that receive information about your visit, and you can opt out at any time (see "Your privacy choices" below).

What we collect

• When you place an order: your name, shipping and billing address, email address, phone number if you give one, and what you bought.
• When you email us or use the contact form: your name, email address, order number if you include it, and your message.
• When you sign up for our emails (for example, for the welcome discount): your email address and the language you were browsing in. We use it only to send you our emails, and every email has an unsubscribe link. Our email list is kept by our email marketing provider, Klaviyo.
• When you browse the site: technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. Our hosting provider records this automatically to run and protect the site.
• Through analytics and advertising tools: which pages you view, the products you look at or add to your cart, purchases, the ad you came from, and device information such as your IP address and browser. See "Cookies and tracking tools" below.

What we never see

Your full card or bank details. Payments are processed by Shopify and PayPal. We only see whether a payment was successful.

How we use it

• To process, ship and support your order, including refunds and returns.
• To reply to your messages.
• To prevent fraud and keep the site secure.
• To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
• To understand how people use the site, so we can improve it.
• To measure our ads and to show ads to people who may be interested in our products, including people who have already visited our site.

We do not send marketing emails unless you have signed up to receive them, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with companies that help us run the store, and only what they need:

• Shopify, which runs our store, checkout and order records.
• Your payment provider (Shopify Payments or PayPal).
• Our fulfillment partners and shipping carriers, who need your name, address and contact details to deliver your order.
• Vercel, which hosts this website; Resend, which delivers messages sent through our contact form; and Klaviyo, which keeps our email list and sends our marketing emails.
• The analytics and advertising companies listed under "Cookies and tracking tools". They may also use the information under their own privacy policies.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it. We do not sell your personal information for money. Under some US state laws, letting advertising companies collect information on our site for targeted advertising counts as "sharing" or "selling" personal information. You can opt out of this at any time (see "Your privacy choices").

Cookies and tracking tools

This website uses the following analytics and advertising tools:

• Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram)
• Meta Conversions API
• Google Analytics

They use cookies, pixels and similar technologies to record what you do on the site, such as pages viewed, products added to the cart and purchases, together with technical information about your device.

With the Meta Conversions API, we also send information about purchases directly from our server to Meta. This can include your email address or phone number in a scrambled (hashed) form, so Meta can match the purchase to an ad.

The checkout, run by Shopify, also uses cookies needed to keep your cart and payment secure.

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before any of these tools are switched on. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, we do not load them at all. Anyone can change their choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work properly without them.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and other US states, you may have the right to:

• Know what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it.
• Ask us to correct it.
• Ask us to delete it.
• Opt out of targeted advertising and of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information.

We give these rights to all our customers, wherever they live. To use them, email strowasupport@gmail.com. We will confirm your request and respond within 45 days. We may need to verify your identity first. We will never treat you differently for using your rights. You may also use an authorized agent to make a request for you. If we refuse your request, you can appeal by replying to our answer, and we will respond within 60 days.

Your privacy choices

To opt out of targeted advertising and the sale or sharing of your personal information, you can:

• Email strowasupport@gmail.com with the subject "Opt out". You do not need an account or an order.
• Turn on Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your browser. We treat it as an opt-out, and our advertising tools are not loaded when it is on.
• Adjust your ad settings on Facebook, Instagram, Google or TikTok, which limits how those companies use information about you.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as tax and accounting laws require, usually up to 7 years. We keep emails for as long as they are useful to help you, then delete them.

Security

We use trusted providers and take reasonable steps to protect your information. No system is completely secure, but we never store your card details.

Children

This site is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

Where your information is processed

Our service providers may process your information in the United States and in other countries. When they do, they are required to protect it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update it here and change the date at the top of the page.
